Another dorm room invasion at UW

UW Police are investigating after another female student’s dorm room was burglarized while she slept.  It happened May 15 at Mercer Hall.  The student was taking a nap around 7:30pm when she heard her door close and noticed that her laptop was missing.  A witness reported seeing two suspicious men near the entrance to Mercer Hall a few minutes earlier.

Although this case sounds similar to the May 12 incident when a female student at McCarty Hall woke up to see a man stealing her computer, police don’t believe they are connected.  In response to concerns that men are “tailgating” residents into their dorms, campus police say students should be aware of their surroundings at all times.  More campus crime reports can be found here.
