The Seattle Fire Department is moving one of its Medic One units from Green Lake to the U-District’s Station 17.  There are only seven Medic One units in Seattle.  Our sister site My Green Lake reports fire officials felt Station 17 would be a better home for the medic unit, especially after Station 17 was remodeled with extra room.  Medic One units provide advanced life support and respond to approximately 28,000 Basic Life Support alarms and 25,000 Advanced Life Support alarms each year, as well as all working fires, hazardous materials and rescue responses across the city.  Thanks to Amy at My Green Lake.
