Assault on The Ave featured on Washington's Most Wanted

A recent and violent beating on University Way NE is getting attention from local television show Washington’s Most Wanted. This week, show host David Rose walked The Ave putting up Crime Stoppers posters in the windows of neighborhood businesses. In a series of show segemnets Rose interviews the victims of the beating.
The victims describe how the altercation began in the 5200 block just as the bars were closing on Thursday, October 6. The suspects, described as large Pacific Islanders, have not been identified. The show that airs this Friday and Saturday at 10:30 p.m. also includes new information. According to Rose, police say the same group of assailants may have attacked someone just before midnight on Friday, October 7 just a few blocks over on 15th Avenue NE.
