Last-minute Halloween shopping

October 30th, 2010 by master

Story by Daron Anderson

Halloween is here, and if you’ve left costume shopping as a last-minute errand, a few stores on the Ave are prepared to help you out. You can find anything from devil horns to movie characters simply by taking a walk on the Ave. Most of the vintage-clothing stores have Halloween items in stock, and retailers like American Apparel have a limited selection as well. And, of course, Gargoyles Statuary has Halloween costumes. They’re also hosting a “Halloween Social” tonight (10/30) from 5-8 p.m., which will feature cider, doughnuts, classic Poe readings, local short stories and a costume contest at 7 p.m.
